Museologos

The museum is located in the municipality of Vibonati, a small village located on the edge of the Cilento and Vallo di Diano national park, a few kilometers from Basilicata and Calabria. The town center is perched and is made up of a historic center of medieval origin. From an artistic point of view, Vibonati is called "the village of portals" due to the large number of portals that run through the narrow streets (ruve) of the village. Called in the past li Bonati, Libonati or simply Bonati, according to local historians, Vibonati would have been founded by Roman colonists and both the Vibo ad Siccam mentioned by Cicero.
