Visit by the Undersecretary of State for Culture, Hon. Prof. Vittorio Sgarbi

C.S. Positive criticisms of the Logos Museum by the Undersecretary of State for Culture, Hon. Prof. Vittorio Sgarbi

The visit of the Undersecretary of State for Culture, the Hon. Prof. Vittorio Sgarbi, took place on Sunday 19 March 2023 to the Logos Museum, founded by the entrepreneur Carmine Cardinale and by the Auris Film producers, Rossella and Erika Cardinale, whose direction artistic was curated by directors Stefania Capobianco and Francesco Gagliardi.

Arrived directly from the Rai 1 television studios, the Hon. Sgarbi was welcomed by the numerous people who came to Vibonati to share their visit to the Museum with him and he made the evocative journey through the 27 rooms, admiring the moving scenes depicting the most significant stages in the life of Jesus.

“Not just a traditional nativity scene but a one-of-a-kind journey in stages, unique in Italy” lo ha definito il Sottosegretario.

The Honorable then continues his careful examination, underlining the strong didactic value inherent in the Logos Museum. “Whoever arrives in Vibonati sees the town that climbs up and then at a certain point climbs a staircase and enters this very attractive didactic museum for boys and children. I believe that the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Education may have an interest in seeing the story of the Gospel told and illustrated. I believe it is an important moment for young people to understand what Christianity was and what it still is today, even in such difficult times as those of war. By visiting the Museum, the youngest can immediately understand what the word, the logos of Christ is."

The careful gaze that has managed to capture the essence contained in the Museum is not that of a visitor like many others, but of one of the greatest Italian art critics, curator of major international exhibitions, prolific writer of best-selling books, conductor of successful broadcasts that have remained in the history of television, politician, free thinker against the tide and tireless defender of art and culture.

“So, also in the light of what the Hon. Sgarbi, we're on the right track”, says the founder Carmine Cardinale, who emphasizes the excellent response from visits, linked in particular to the school world, which represent a significant figure of how young people can still approach to the world of art and culture, which must be continually stimulated with new ideas and initiatives that are already springing up around the Logos Museum.
